The View From Here

February 9th, 2012

I’ve worked in my present office for about 7 years so the view is nothing new, and yet I haven’t stopped being  surprised by it now and then. Amazing how the simple movement of light and clouds can turn a familiar building into a visual poem or a set from a mysterious foreign movie. The shadow cast on the frontage of these buildings reminded me of an Edward Hopper painting — painfully bright sunlight revealing everything and an odd underlying empty sadness.

As the photograph slowly revealed itself in my google reader, I thought it was a photograph taken in Italy. I love what light does to the everydy … love it!
